As a Feminist, I am aware of this list of privilege in order of first to last in society; white men, men of color, white women, women of color. I am fully aware that women of color are the most often silenced, degraded, and disregarded women in the world. I don’t believe Feminism is specific to color, nor do I think one race trumps another in Feminism. I only believe that women comes first in a movement that is about women’s rights. In acknowledging these things, one also has to acknowledge that women of color have both Feminism and Civil Rights working on their sides, not always cohesively nor perfectly. White women only have Feminism. White women aren’t to be condemned for fighting for themselves, because no one else is.

If she legit thinks MOC have more privilege than white women…you know what, I’m not fucking with this tonight. I’m not.

The amount of privileged fail and shameless silencing of PoC that continues to be churned out of the mainstream feminist movement never fails to amaze me.

Only feminism and…a white supremacist society!

Ok, as much as this woman is ignorant in many ways, I really don’t see why so much of the internet community is unable to understand this:

Playing “who is more oppressed” will get you NOWHERE.

Her saying that white women are less privileged than MOC is no better than you arguing the other side.

The whole concept of one “ism” (sexism, racism, ableism) being greater or more oppressive than another is BULLSHIT. As a white woman she has no way to gauge how MOC have been discriminated against, and unless you understand her experience as a white woman (which you DO NOT because you are not this woman and you do not know her experiences), you have no way to gauge how she is discriminated against due to her gender.

For every thing we can argue that men of color are more discriminated against (polices stereotyping for instance) we can argue something else for white women (rape culture for instance).

White women have feminism and a white supremacist society - black men have civil rights and a patriarchal society. It’s no one’s job to decide whether the patriarchy or white supremacy is a larger force.

Arguing over which group is most privileged is a ridiculous argument that does nothing. Absolutely nothing.
